Watercolor at my parent's backyard, Killeen, TX.

Completed this in about 1 1/2 hrs in the backyard of my parents up in Killeen. That's my brother's smoker.

I spent about 30 mins lightly drawing with pencil and then used the basic watercolor set to layer down the colors. The colors could be more accurate and I was rushed about half-way through to come and eat dinner. Not too shabby for my first piece, though.

As Joe said, you definitely learn to work in layers with watercolor. Its also much easier to work with outdoors than acrylics.

Something I learned about Arches Block: Don't remove the sheet from the block till you're done; else it will curl up from the moisture.
